Equipment hire form

• All golf carts should be operated at a moderate speed, making sure to reduce your speed to compensate for inclines, pedestrians, and weather conditions.
• If the grass is wet, slow down and drive with extra caution.
• All of our golf carts have been fitted with Visage, an in-cart GPS system with built in speed controls and notices to ensure safe operation.
• Pedestrians always have the right-of-way on shared paths. Cyclists and all other users in and round the park, Poplar Road and the Capital City Trail should be considered when using a golf cart at Royal Park Golf Course.
• When approaching Poplar road, be sure to follow all safety signage and proceed with caution. The images below provide details on how to safely navigate this area of the course.
• When needing to back up, check your surroundings to ensure they are clear of people or obstructions. Check to see that the cart of set to go backward, and if needed make adjustments as necessary. Our carts will also sound a loud reverse alert when set in this position.
• Approach all turns with caution and reduced speed. Neve make a sharp turn, even on a straight away. Rounding curves at excessive speeds can result in someone being thrown from the cart.
• Always drive straight up and down a hill. Driving up or down a hill at an angle can cause the cart to tip over.
• All golf carts should only drive on designated paths and stay away from vegetation areas, greens, tees and bunkers.
• Your carts GPS will help you stay on an appropriate route. If the path is congested, do not take any alternate routes, such as going under ropes or over difficult terrain.
• Park golf carts out of the way of pedestrians and other carts. Do not park the cart on an incline or uneven surfaces.
• Our golf carts have a parking brake located on the top left of the brake pedal. Ensure this is activated upon exiting the golf cart.
• No golf cart is to be operated with more passengers than seating allows.
• Be sure properly load and store your equipment.
• Do not ride on the back of the cart, standup in a moving cart or overload your cart with equipment.
• Only drive the golf cart once all passengers are seated.
• All occupants in the golf cart shall keep hands, arms, legs and feet within the confines of the cart at all times when the cart is in motion.
• Only authorised drivers who have completed this Golf Cart Safety Acknowledgement may drive a golf cart and carts cannot be operated by an intoxicated person.
• As each cart is assigned to a specific person, please ensure you select the correct cart.
• All use and liability of cart operation is on the hirer who has signed and acknowledged the cart hire form prior to use.
• Any damage to golf carts is the responsibility of the hirer and rates for replacement are displayed on your windscreen.
• Any mechanical issues with golf carts should be reported to our staff as soon as possible.
• Upon conclusion of your game, all carts must be returned to the staging area. Do not leave carts on the course or in the parking lot.
• In the event of an emergency, call '000' in the first instance, not the Golf Shop

I agree and acknowledge that, for and in consideration of the rental of the hire golf clubs numbered below from Royal Park Community Golf Course / GreenSpace Management.

I am bound to accept total responsibility for the use of the hire golf clubs and further accept that I have read and understood all the rules* associated with renting the hire golf clubs and will comply with them.

I agree and acknowledge that I have read these conditions prior to hiring the hire golf clubs and that I am aware that there are risks inherent in the use of golf clubs and that I accept these risks.

I agree and acknowledge that I will be responsible for and pay for any damages that are sustained to the hire golf clubs whilst in my possession.

I agree and acknowledge that Royal Park Community Golf Course / GreenSpace Management shall not be liable for any loss or damage howsoever caused to me, and including any loss or damage arising in contact, Statute or tort whilst the hire golf clubs are in my possession or under my control.

I further acknowledge that this exclusion of liability or responsibility shall include, but not be limited to any personal injury whatsoever which I may suffer which is connected to or related to my use or misuse of the hire golf clubs subject of this agreement and I hereby agree to waiver any claim either at common law or Statue which I would have had, but for this agreement, against you, your employees, servants and/or agents.

I promise and further agree to hold Royal Park Community Golf Course / GreenSpace Management. its employees, contractors or any of its agents free and harmless from any damages or claims whatsoever, that may arise through my use of the hire golf clubs.

I will comply with the following:

1. I will return the hire golf clubs immediately following the completion of the specified play in the same condition as when I received the hire golf clubs, reasonable fair wear and tear being expected;
2. Only one person will use the hire clubs, otherwise additional charges will apply;
3. The owner of the hire golf clubs will not be liable for any damages to the cart, personal injury or property damage from or through my negligent use of the hire golf clubs;
4. I acknowledge that I will be liable for any damage occasioned by my negligent operation of the hire golf clubs;
5. I agree to pay the owner the costs of any repairs considered reasonable necessary by them to the hire golf clubs caused by my use (other than reasonable wear and tear) within 7 days upon receipt of an account for repairs from the owner;
6. I acknowledge that I have read and understood the terms and conditions contained in this rental agreement and agree to be bound by them.

I agree and acknowledge that, for and in consideration of the rental of the golf cart numbered below from Royal Park Golf Course / GreenSpace Management.

I further acknowledge that this exclusion of liability or responsibility shall include, but not be limited to any personal injury whatsoever which I may suffer which is connected to or related to my use or misuse of the Golf Cart the subject of this agreement and I hereby agree to waiver any claim either at common law or Statue which I would have had, but for this agreement, against you, your employees, servants and/or agents.

I promise and further agree to hold Royal Park Golf Course / GreenSpace Management. its employees, contractors or any of its agents free and harmless from any damages or claims whatsoever, that may arise through my use of the golf cart, and that I can operate the golf cart.

I will comply with the following:

1. I will return the golf cart immediately following the completion of the specified play in the same condition as when I received the golf cart, reasonable fair wear and tear being expected;
2. No more than 2 people and 2 golf bags will occupy or be carried in the golf cart at any one time;
3. Only persons over 18 years of age and holding a drivers licence are eligible to operate a golf cart;
4. The driver must not consume liquor whilst driving or be under the influence of drugs or alcohol;
5. The owner of the golf cart will not be liable for any damages to the cart, personal injury or property damage from or through my negligent use of the golf carts;
6. I acknowledge that I will be liable for any damage occasioned by my negligent operation of the cart;
7. I agree to pay the owner the costs of any repairs considered reasonable necessary by them to the cart caused by my use (other than reasonable wear and tear) within 7 days upon receipt of an account for repairs from the owner;
8. I acknowledge that I have read and understood the terms and conditions contained in this rental agreement and agree to be bound by them.
9. I agree to follow all directions via signage, on-board GPS Navigation, direction of staff and instructional video.
